Windows or Linux Hosting?

We are often asked whether a client should use Linux or Windows for their hosting platform choice. For the majority of applications the Linux platform is the most suitable.

Windows 2008 Hosting

For customers who need to run scripts such as ASP or .NET, or who require access to Microsoft designed databases such as Access or SQL then the Windows should be your platform of choice. We operate our servers with the very latest Windows 2008 / IIS 7 specifications ensuring you can utilise the latest technologies from Microsoft.

All domain names are registered in your name for both the registration and administrator aspects. This means you have full rights over the domain and are entitled to move it with ease. A large number of ISPs don't follow this practice and can make it very difficult for you to leave them. Should you ever wish to move your domain away from our control at any point we do not impose any restrictions or additional hidden charges.
