Wholesale Leased Lines
ICUK partners with a total of 7 different UK carriers to deliver leased line services to your customers. We have chosen these carriers as they can complement each other either through geographic coverage, or to aid in the delivery of resilient or diverse connectivity. The carrier pass traffic across to ICUK's own network to manage. Making sense of what carrier to select as part of your quoting journey is made easy, and often it is a choice led by which carrier is cheapest.
The BT Wholesale portfolio we offer extends from copper based EFM and EoFTTC connections through to full fibre solutions and now ever wireless. This allows us to provide you with a leased line solution that meets your budget, regardless of location within the UK.
CityFibre are offering a unique alternative to Openreach, utilising their own ducts and fibre. They present a very tempting solution where they are on-net as their prices are hard to beat. Their foot print is growing steadily, and as new cities are enabled we will notify resellers.
Colt have an impressive global network, spanning 4 continents and 32 countries. We are primarily adding them into our portfolio for access to their London Metropolitan network access. Here they have laid their own fibre presenting a genuine alternative to Openreach and Virgin fibre solutions.
We can supply Openreach EAD Ethernet circuits which are ideal solutions for short-distance (up to 40km) point-to-point Ethernet circuits for speeds from 100Mb up to 10Gb.
Sky provide Openreach based fibre Ethernet solutions across the UK. Through a network of 2800+ enabled local access exchange they are often able to provide pricing which is hard for any other carrier to beat.
We have partnered with TalkTalk Business (formally Opal) for UK-wide access to EFM, EoFTTC and fibre leased lines. They provide a unique and complementary service other Openreach suppliers or alternative fibre carriers.
Only fibre based products are available from Virgin Media, and in some areas, where they already have fibre laid in the area, their pricing is very hard to beat. This makes them a credible alternative to consider to Openreach based solutions from BT Wholesale, Sky and TalkTalk Business.
We are in a period of substantial growth with leased lines. Previously only the largest companies would entertain, or could afford, a leased line. As fibre footprints increase, and wholesale costs fall, along with a rise in the reliance of fast and stable connections, the leased line is no longer a high cost luxury; they are now an essential requirement to any modern business. We aid our resellers with a flat structure to our pricing, allowing even our smallest reseller access to ultra competitive pricing to win the sale. You can have confidence in our resilient network and the carrier relationships we have built over the years.
Just because you're you're poorly serviced with traditional broadband needn't mean you can't receive ultra high speeds. Fibre doesn't suffer the same losses that copper does over long distances, so regardless of whether you can receive good speeds with traditional broadband, leased lines can deliver the speeds and consistency a business needs. Our leased lines can cover the majority of the UK.
If you have a requirement for high speed you can't get any faster or more consistent speed other than via a leased line. Years ago these may have been purely for large businesses who could afford them, but today with prices continuing to fall, and the reliance of an Internet feed in business, these are becoming an essential tool in modern business.
Our leased lines are supplied without contention restrictions. We don't oversubscribe our network, and therefore the bandwidth you purchase is used solely by your organisation. You can now avoid peak time exchange congestion, or one-off events (eg Olympics) from affecting the speeds you achieve.
With our fibre leased lines we can provide a large bearer to provide you with faster speeds in the future. For example, we may deliver a 100Mbps bearer, and cap your speeds to 20Mbps. This results in a cheaper monthly cost to you initially, and should you wish to increase the speed in years to come we can speed it up closer to the 100Mbps physical limit of the fibre supplied.
Service level agreements are in place to ensure that regardless of the fault, or time of day, you will have members of staff from both ICUK and our carriers working on the issue. Time limits are clearly stated, and in the event a satisfactory resolution is put in place service credits are applied to your account. These should provide you with peace of mind you will get the best from us when you need us the most.
Leased lines are supplied without any form of traffic restriction or usage limit. You can download at full speed all day, every day, regardless of what that traffic be made up of.
As with all our reseller platforms you can grow at your own pace. Even if you only sell a couple of leased lines in a year, there is no pressure from us to increase this. we are a technically focused company, and are appreciative that not all resellers will want to sell large volumes of Ethernet circuits. Regardless of volumes you can be confident to receive the very best pricing and support standards.
As a reseller you are able to generate quotes through our control panel instantly. Within less than a minute you can have the pricing you need for multiple speed combinations from multiple carriers, confident that the pricing is accurate and ready for you to pass to customers with your margin applied.
Leased lines are not just for the delivery of high speed Internet access. Point-to-point links provide secure connectivity physical locations allowing you to share data. Common applications would be to share confidential data between office locations.
Leased lines with service level agreements (SLA) are often seen as a huge step over traditional broadband. However, the SLA doesn't make them immune to disruption, it simply means that there is an aim to deliver a fix within a timescale. Where downtime just isn't an option we can deliver diversely delivered circuits with multiple entry points, exchanges and POP entry points into our own network. Our quoting tools can provide instant quotes to aid this.
This privileged access map facility provides our resellers with access to Openreach ducting and fibre delivery details. We plot the details onto Google maps allowing you to see from map, aerial and StreetView view points where ducts enter into a building, as well as confirmation of existing or nearby fibre. It provides a fascinating view prior to delivery of how challenging an installation may prove to reach.
As standard you can design your own tariffs, where you apply margins to different technologies and contract lengths. When quoting it means that we not only show you confirmation of your wholesale cost, we show a price with your margin applied. This can be ideal if you want to compare tariffs, or have your sales team able to quote without having to calculate margins themselves.
By designing tariffs, your margins can be applied automatically. At point of quoting, you can tweak your retail price prior to saving. This saved price can now be instantly converted into a branded quote with your logo, wording and pricing visible. There is no longer a delay for your sales team to accurately quote and dispatch a written quote to your customer.
We make it easy to quote for and order failover broadband connections. We offer fixed price failover products, supplied complete with their our router to aid in the event of hardware failure to the leased line. Should a failure occur within seconds the backup connection will automatically pick up the traffic load along with the original leased line IP addresses. Whilst it will be slower than the main connection it will help prevent against complete outage and with the minimal amount of disruption.
MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) network arrangements can be ideal should you have multiple site / branch locations scattered around the country, whereby you want to connect them up to be able to access and share data securely. You can mix and match broadband and leased line technologies into your MPLS arrangement. We make the process of quoting such solutions easy, and when it comes to ordering and delivering we will work through with you to ensure that what is delivered meets your exacting needs.
All our 3 year contracts see the availability of free Cisco routers as an option when ordering. The router is pre-configured and shipped to site prior to the circuit going live. Once live, you have lifetime support on the hardware with next day replacements as standard. 1 year contract options can also have routers, albeit at a small rental cost.
If you would like to take a hands-off approach to quoting your clients, and instead allow them to generate prices, with your margins applied, a ready made quoting tool is available for easy integration. Quotes are shown on screen, and even emailed to your prospective client in seconds.
If you would like to integrate our quoting tools into your own systems then as standard we provide a powerful REST based API for you to achieve this. All quoting functionality and carriers are included within it.
Forget weekly conference calls. Forget Excel spreadsheet updates. Our provisioning process is not only easy to understand, it
takes away lots of the stress and uncertainty from the order journey. At any point in the order you can see at a glace where in
the order journey the order is currently, along with a complete history todate. Our system proactively keeps us on our toes, so
should expected updates fail to materialise, there is no need to chase us, we'll already be on the case.
Whilst a leased line doesn't have a session, as a standard broadband connection, we can show uptime based on our monitoring. Should a drop occur it is logged, as is the amount of time it's down for. When it returns this too is logged along with the stability witnessed.
Through our control panel you can view and manage IP address ranges associated to a circuit, with support for IPv4 and IPv6. Once assigned you can view and control reverse DNS records.
As standard you can setup free monitoring on all your circuits. You and your team can receive email and SMS alerts to issues to investigate prior to raising any suspected faults with us. All monitoring is logged within the control panel for additional visibility of your circuit's reliability over time.
We have developed our own speed test tools which will automatically log the speeds achieved against the connection in question. If the speed test window is left open it will auto-run hourly against the connection providing a useful insight into performance over time.
Quoting for and changing the speed of a connection is made easy. Any time during the contract you can see the options available along with accurate prices. The time it takes to complete a speed regrade varies depending on the carrier.
Faults are raised and tracked through our control panel. All updates are supplied as emails, as well as being visible through our portal. Our systems are designed to automatically chase our support teams when expected updates aren't received from our carriers ensuring that you can be confident that your fault is not overlooked.
Our support hours extend 24/7 for service level agreement customers including leased lines when there is a service down situation. We have emergency numbers you can call out of hours where you are put through immediately to ICUK support engineers, not a third party call centre.
Should you need to cease a circuit, this is made easy. You can clearly see what notice lead times are applicable to the carrier, and if you are in contract. If you are in contract confirmation of the costs to leave the contract are shown. As with lots of our services, we design solutions to allow you to self-serve.
Subject to approval you can join us as a leased line reseller. As a leased line reseller you are responsible for billing and supporting your customer at rates you agree. ICUK will act as a wholesale supplier of the service.
To give you a flavour of our pricing, and see in detail the facilities you can access request information from us and an information portal will be setup for you. You'll only be able to sign-up for a full leased line reseller account when you are ready to place your first order with us. This is because unlike our other reseller account types, there are no subscription costs for platform access.
THIS IS NOT DESIGNED FOR RESELLERS WANTING REFERRAL COMMISSIONS. WE DO NOT INVOICE OR PROVIDE FIRST LINE SUPPORT TO YOUR CLIENTS DIRECTLY.
Quotes for leased line are based on the speed, technology and delivery destination. Our quoting tool supports multiple carriers allowing you to see wholesale costs, apply your retail mark up and even generate branded quotes you can email to your customer in minutes.
Once you have secured an order you can easily place it via our portal. Industry leading order tracking is provided allowing you to easily understand how it is progressing.
It is your responsibility to invoice your customers and provide first level support. Our control panel has been designed to provide you with the tools and diagnostics that you will need. ICUK is available to you on the phone and via email for further assistance with faults and general advice. We provide emergency around the clock numbers in the event of out of hours problems.
